Losses

Minutemen = 1,500 British = 2,400 Soldiers. In 3 hours of battle.

The British defeated the Minutemen and won the hill.

Valley Forge Winter Encampment

December 19,1777- June 1778:

Approximately 5,000 soldiers marched in +7,000 camp followers (12.000 people total) to be housed, fed, medical care provided for and trained for the next years campaign.

3,000 soldiers unfit for duty.

2,000 Marched in that never marched out that Winter.

June 19,1778:

Approximately 15,000 Soldiers (the new Continental Army) marched against and defeated the British at the Battle of Monmouth.

One Continental Army officer that was over 6’ tall was known as “Bullet Proof” and participated in all the major battles during the 6 years of the war.

Find out about our first 3 Army Veterans, who were. Honorably Discharged Soldiers and received government benefits for serving fighting in that war, who were female.
