THIS COURSE TAKES YOU BACK IN TIME !

YOU ARE NOW IN THE YEAR 1776

As a colonist you read this new letter nailed up on a wall. It’s called the “Declaration of Independence!” You are reading the wonderful news!!! Telling everyone that. “American colonies have Separated from England!”

We are a new country called “The United States of America."

This means freedom from England!

It also means going to war to get it!!!

(This Declaration is also the foundation for America’s new Constitution that is yet to be written.)

After 6 years of war, it is now October 19, 1781. We have have won the War for Independence.

Riding your horse home, you arrive Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is now May 1787.

You are now peeking in the window of Constitution Hall during the meeting with fifty-six delegates. They are debating and arguing about what to say and how to write the words that will set the course for the entire future of this country. For the next five months these fifty-six delegates worked on authoring a very special document. It’s hot. It’s secretive. It’s dangerous.

In this course you will be an observer to history as you gain insights into how the Christian faith influenced and guided the Founding Fathers. You'll discover why their wisdom remains as pertinent today as it was in 1787. Although the Constitution was ratified in September of 1787 it was not a finished document yet.

Back to your time machine !!!! POOOF... you are now in December 1791.

There is a new meeting of those same fifty-six delegates. They are meeting again in the same hall to write the first ten amendments (the first 10 changes) to this new Constitution. Using Article 5 of the Constitution “We The People” are now making Amendments to the Constitution. The “Bill Of Rights” are the laws protecting “We The People” from the Government.
